Castle Douglas Tudor Costumes

This is a fabulous Tudor-style gown ca. 1535, made of royal blue velvet, blue and gold damask, and blue brocade. The bodice is jeweled with genuine lapis lazuli, fresh water pearls, and 22kt gold plated beads from the Middle East. The centerpiece is a one-of-a-kind gold-plated filigreed pendant from Saudi Arabia. The damask underskirt is heavily jeweled with a variety of crystal beads and more freshwater pearls.

It fits sizes 6-10 with a skirt length of 42 inches. It comes with a matching fan, and I will make a new blue velvet French hood for the buyer. The hoop and chemise are not included.

This gown has been worn approximately 10 hours total, so it is truly like new.

This is an emerald green Elizabethan-style gown with Queen sleeves. It will fit size 8-10. The overskirt is made with 8 yards of heavy bridal satin and fastens with grommets to allow size adjustments. The underskirt is made of a navy and green brocade. The bodice is made of emerald velvet with a built-in stomacher of the same navy and green brocade. The tie-on sleeves feature puffed upper sleeves of the green velvet with brocade panes and satin undersleeves. The cuffs are green velvet trimmed with the brocade.

The underskirt, bodice and paned sleeves are all beaded with freshwater pearls, green crystals and gold toned beads. The French hood-style hat, which is included, is made of the same velvet and brocade and comes with a sheer navy veil edged with navy satin ribbon. It features the same beading pattern found on the gown.

Hoopskirt IS included. White chemise not included.
